The Blackout

For almost six long years I have been studying, drawing and experimenting with the full-adder circuit. But when the interviewer from Mercedes Benz asked me to draw it, I could not. I completely blacked out. I did not want him to think that I was stuck with a simple question, so I started drawing whatever came to my mind. But I knew I was wrong. I then started to draw the truth table, to get a clear picture. When the answer was just one step away, the interviewer said “It’s okay” and moved on to the next question. What followed was a series of basic questions, which even a high school student would answer. But I could not. It was as if he mocking me with those easy questions!

It’s been a few days since this incident happened and I am still wondering what went wrong. I am amazed by the brain’s capabilities to mess up things for you. Anyways, it was a very good learning experience. No no! I cannot say ‘good’, it was hmmm… interesting!
